Pinneys of Scotland:

In order to improve the seal integrity of plastic lids to Aluminium foil trays, Pinneys used a Flexicheck Offline machine in conjunction with Aztech`s guide “Improving Packaging Seal Quality” to identify different areas where conditions and parameters of the sealing process could be changed to improve the seal quality.

By using the Flexicheck machine to produce data on the frequency of leaks and severity of leaks, the quality team were able to make improvements to the sealing process and quantify the improvements.

Linwoods - Armagh

Linwoods manufacture and pack a range of health food products such as milled Flaxseed, Goji Berries and Hemp and Pumkin seeds to name a few. In order to ensure the quality of these products when they reach the consumer, Linwoods installed a Flexicheck offline machine to work along side their filling/ sealing line.

This machine is used by the machine operator who randomly selects packs coming from the packing line and tests them, this data is stored on a HMI for each days production. The machine has become an invaluable tool in quality assurance. The machine is also used to test new batches of pouches, before they are accepted in to production.
